Revisit: The House That Waited
In July 2025, I launched the very first edition of Print Club: The House That Waited.
Back then, I had no idea what Print Club would become. I didn’t know how many people would join, whether I could keep up with it every month, or if anyone would connect with the stories I wanted to tell. I was simply excited to create something of my own and send it out into the world.
At the time, I saw Print Club as a way to challenge myself to create consistently every month. More importantly, it was one of those dreams that had been sitting quietly in the back of my mind for a long time. Eventually, I decided to take the leap and see where it would lead me.
For those who are new here, The House That Waited was the very first story I shared through Print Club.
Looking back, I think I was drawn to the idea that some things continue to wait for us, even when we’ve forgotten about them. Not necessarily places, but dreams, interests, and parts of ourselves that quietly stay in the background while life moves on.
Sometimes, revisiting this piece reminds me why I started in the first place. Print Club has grown slowly since then. Some months were better than others, but somehow, month after month, there were always people willing to give my work a chance. Every sign-up, every kind message, and every photo of my mail arriving safely in someone’s mailbox reminded me why I started this project in the first place.
Of course, there are still days when I wonder if I’m doing enough. Days when growth feels slow, when I compare myself to others, or when it feels like I’m creating quietly in a corner that nobody notices. But whenever those thoughts appear, I remind myself that if I truly want this, then I have to keep going.
I’ve always hoped that more people would discover my work. Not because I want to reach everyone, but because I want these stories to find the people they’re meant for — the ones who enjoy receiving letters, who find comfort in small stories, and who stumble across my work and decide to stay awhile.
Over the past months, I’ve been lucky enough to meet many people like that. Some have supported my work from the very beginning, while others joined somewhere along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for every one of them.
At the same time, I hope there are still more people out there waiting to discover these stories. People who may not know this little corner of the internet exists yet, but who might one day find their way here.
So for now, I’ll keep creating. A story and a letter at a time. Trusting that the right people will continue to find their way here.
If you’ve enjoyed reading this little revisit, you might enjoy exploring the rest of the archives, too.
Many of the other entries in the archives are a little different from this one. My own experiences inspire some, while others explore topics like friendships, growing up, love, creative life, and the occasional strange thought that decides to stay in my head for longer than it should.
They’re simply stories and reflections that don’t quite fit anywhere else.
Until next time :)
